It truly was a memorable experience. Had an amazing week with Sally and the most inspiring group of women! We all have our own story and it was so lovely that everyone lifted, supported and learnt about each other.

Then there was the shopping!

Sally’s adventures are so much more than sourcing and shopping (which is incredible and worth every sweaty day) you get to discover treasures down laneways and are inspired by amazing people.

Eat at fabulous cafes and restaurants, and then you come home to a relaxing tranquil retreat with your own private room and pool - and another chance to bond with the group or to chill by yourself.

Moving around Bali was made possible by Sally’s team of the happiest and patient drivers you could ever meet. We certainly felt like VIPs.

If you are thinking of this trip, don’t waste any time and book. It is rather daunting to book an overseas trip with total strangers and by yourself, but after the first hour of meeting everyone you feel totally at ease.

My trip to Bali with @sallyo.co was just wonderful - an opportunity to step off the treadmill for a week and immerse myself in all things interiors with a fabulous group of women who live and breathe interiors like I do.

Sally was such a gracious and generous guide and host.  Sally shared so many of her favourite suppliers and gorgeous Bali locations with us.  At each new location Sally would just let us go and explore and I would catch her quietly observing and sharing in the excitement as we all explored and squealed with delight.  Sally appreciates that the experience of discovery is just as important as the destination itself.

Our accommodation was fabulous, our drivers were a delight and our breakfast, lunch and dinner venues were just fantastic – a feast for the tastebuds and the stylists in all of us.

Highlights – there are so many but our visit to Bali Street Mums and our lazy afternoon by the pool at the AMAZING Eco Resort might be up the list.

When I first saw the advertisement for Sally O & Co's Sourcing Adventures I knew that was just what I needed to take a step towards launching my own small business selling homewares sourced from Bali.  I’d done some sourcing already but thought this could be a shortcut to finding more products and suppliers.  I’m not very brave when it comes to putting myself out there so going on the tour with a group of strangers was my worst nightmare and I almost talked myself out of it several times! Thank goodness I didn’t - I needn’t have worried at all. 

The tour was planned with such precision – we stayed at the most beautiful villa, ate at some amazing restaurants and enjoyed the odd cocktail (or mocktail!) with spectacular views.  We had a full itinerary and Sally has an awesome group of lovely drivers who patiently drove us all around and made sure we got where we needed to be safely.

Sally herself was amazing – she was so generous with sharing her knowledge and experience with us and yes, she did take us to some fabulous homeware stores and galleries and introduced us to some fantastic suppliers as promised, but I got soooo much more than that from the tour.  The group of strangers that I had been so worried about turned out to be the most wonderful group of inspirational ladies with varied backgrounds but who all connected so well.  We shared stories, knowledge and laughed until we cried! 

I’d been wanting to start a small business for a while but had been putting it off due to my anxiousness of putting myself out there.  The group - some of whom already had their own successful businesses, really gave me the courage to believe in myself and finally get started. 

Since I returned from the trip with my suitcases full of goodies I’ve launched my little business – Lychee – the name of which was decided over a Lychee cocktail at one of our shared lunches on the trip! 

Sal and the ladies - whom I now called lifelong friends have continued to support and encourage me in my journey and some of us have even returned to Bali to do more sourcing! 

Going on one of Sally O’s tours was truly one of the best things I have ever done for myself.  I’ll always be thankful for plucking up the courage to message Sally and say “book me on that trip!”

What a fun trip this was! From the ladies I met on the tour, the Balinese people, including our wonderful, funny drivers, the food, the beautiful interiors, the warmth, our gorgeous accomodation, and the many inspirational people we met who run their businesses in this beautiful part of the world.

We were in very capable hands with Sally, who is a wonderful, warm host who organises everything so effortlessly and with good humour. As a mum and a business owner, it  was a welcome break for me from having to make decisions.

Highlights for me were visiting the Bali Street Mums Project, Giovanna’s studio and speaking to her about the charitable work that she does in Africa, the shopping, the food and the gorgeous sunsets, the list goes on.

I came back to New Zealand inspired and re-energised and I can’t wait to get back over there. I’d definitely be keen to do another of Sally’s tours and I highly recommend taking time out for yourself to do a tour with Sally, you won’t regret it.

As a Bali novice, I went on a tour with Sally and was absolutely blown away!

Sally curated a seamless experience from start to finish, from the wonderful (and cheeky) drivers, 5-star villa, AMAZING restaurants, sourcing and shopping to die for, divine massages and memories that will last a lifetime.

Highlights for me included visiting the Bali Street Mum safe house and seeing all the amazing work they do and how it all runs, the enchanting La Brisa Beach Club which is straight from a fairytale, The Hanging Gardens of Bali in Ubud and the magical Bodywork’s Bali for the most beautiful and relaxing building and set up I have ever seen.

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing an interior tour in Bali with Sally and it was nothing short of amazing!

The combination of stunning sights, delectable food, unique shopping experiences, and the great company made this tour a highlight of my trip. 

One of the standout features of this tour was the incredible food we enjoyed. The shopping experience was equally impressive with all sorts of unique shops and hidden gems, Sally was so generous with her knowledge of Bali, she took us to some of the best shops, suppliers and antique shops, I ended up shipping my own container back to Australia. 

In summary, this interior tour in Bali exceeded all my expectations. With amazing food, fantastic shopping, and wonderful company, it was an experience I will cherish forever. Words can't capture how much I loved being a part of Sally’s September ’24 Bali sourcing adventure - a week of inspiration and joy shared with a small group of brilliant, generous people!

From the vibrant markets to the hidden gems, every corner was a treasure trove of inspiration. Our group indulged in exquisite textiles, unique furniture, baskets and pottery.
